Soldier with helmet

Boons. Of course it's welcome when famous people use their VIP status (and the money earned with it) to do something good. It's questionable though when they go into a distinct delusion and not get involved with world peace and fight against hunger like the rest but instead search for more inventive charities.

A representative example is Cher: With great dedication the 60-year-old pop-queen nowadays supports "Operation Helmet", a really honorable NGO from Houston Texas. With the tight slogan "Protect our heroes" they seek to ease daily business of the US-troops in Afghanistan and Iraq - with comfortable and cushioned helmets. According to the helmet-lobby a comfortable helmet will be used more often and worn much longer which logically increases safety.

Bob Geldof should better not hear of that.
