Pads falling apart, mold on the inside, cannot get replacements from supply

Kits: 140. Heard about us: Platoon Commander from another Battalion. Duties: Artillery, Convoys, Provisional Infantry. Current pads: Issued IIF pads. Comments: Good Morning, I received your info from a fellow Platoon Commander who recently returned from deployment. I am currently serving as a Platoon Commander with a Battalion Landing Team that is set to deploy in the near future. I am requesting 140 kit for the Marines in my battery. As Artillerymen, we will routinely conduct convoy operations in our AOR, mounted and dismounted patrols, and artillery live fire. These kits will greatly enhance our ability to conduct long duration operations. Please feel free to reach out to me for any other information you may need. Added info: Sorry for the late reply. The most common problems reported by Marines is that the issued pads cause migraines due to now fitting properly, or that their Kevlar does not fit completely on their head as a result of the smaller helmet pads being too firm to form to an individual’s head. 1stLt, US Marines.

Kits: 46. Hometown: Prescott, AZ. Heard about us: Outgoing Unit. Duties: Security Force Assistance Brigades. Current pads: Standard Army OCIE Issued. Comments: Hello, My name is SSG Robert … I am the Supply Sergeant for the unit that replaced the current unit at this location. They gave me the information to request a better helmet pad from this organization. We currently have 46 troops that continually travel between the FOB and various locations around the FOB. They are in KIT for extended periods of time. The more focused I can make them on mission and not worry about equipment being uncomfortable to wear the better. Thank you for your time & support. SSG, US Army
