Comments: The current pads are causing unnecessary pain to my gun section as we process fire mission. To the extent that my soldiers are having to loosen the helmet to such length the the helmet no longer provides the protection needed just to reduce the pain. The pain caused by the helmet pads is causing a lack of focus over the course of our 12 hour shifts, thus leading to mistakes being made that we just cannot afford to make in this job. SGT, US Army

Comments: We are constantly wearing our kevlars on mission and the standard issue pads cause quite a bit of discomfort for me personally and the members in my squad as well as resulting in headaches for some. Comments: The pads issued to us are very old and discolored. They are not good for long convoys as they are quite uncomfortable and causes headaches if worn for too long. Specialist, US Army

Comments: My pads fit so badly that I’ve had to cut some open, remove some foam, and sew them back up just to have my helmet fit safely and securely.
