Kits: 10. Hometown: Ozark. Heard about us: Battle Buddy. Duties: Infantry, security operations.. Current pads: Standard issue, gray, front pad is plastic and bruises forehead when worn for extended periods of time with 20’s BII (night vision). Comments: As I said the current pads that we have are standard issue and when the Nods BII for my 20’s and that of my squad have been quite problematic and the front pad appears to be made of plastic and bruises my forehead. Kits: 2. Hometown: Chicago, IL. Heard about us: EOD colleague. Duties: R&S. Current pads: Genres Advanced Combat Helmet pad. Sewn seams and flattened foam that we had to poke holes in to get to inflate and provide any comfort. Comments: Ordering for myself and another Marine in my team. We are both using IIF issued pads that provide little comfort for the extended hours of use that we demand from them. The foam compressed and ends up feeling as if you aren’t wearing pads at all. Kits: 40. Hometown: San Clemente, CA. Heard about us: Other Lieutenants. Duties: Infantry. Current pads: Standard issue pads. Comments: Most of the guys are using the standard issue helmet pads that suck. We really want to get something more comfortable for extended wear as our Bn just acquired PVS 31s for every infantryman. They’re great but they include a battery pack on the back and add to the weight on the wearer’s head, which the standard issue pads aren’t built for. We’d really like to outfit the platoon with more comfortable pads for their kevlars, which will in turn make the Marines actually want to wear their kevlars which will save lives. 2nd Lt, US Marines

Kits: 37. Hometown: Greenwich, CT. Heard about us: Fellow platoon commander. Duties: Infantry Platoon Commander. Current pads: Really terrible hard issued pads. Glued. Comments: Our entire unit is deploying the CENTCOM in April. Everyone has been complaining about the pads and how the helmet doesn’t fit properly. Specifically, we’ve been issued new NODS that make the helmet heavier putting more strain on the neck. Typically, guys can tough it out but if there’s a solution to the madness it would make sense to take some weight off the back of the guys I’m fighting with and for.. Second Lieutenant, US Marines

Kits: 1. Hometown: Beaumont, TX. Heard about us: Friend. Duties: Infantry. Current pads: Issued. Comments: They’re stiff and give me and many other marines headaches.. Sgt, US Marines
